Social Media Campaign
Social Media campaign for Home Entertainment release of Ready Player One. Campaign included exclusive announces, paid media and organic content for digital, Blu-ray and 4K releases. Social content was distributed throughout Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr and Snapchat pages for all WB, Amblin, RPO. Content was addtionally distributed on film microsites for campaign contests. Over 80 custom build pieces were created for campaign utilizing keyart, print packaging, motion graphics, sound design, film score, feature footage and exclusive behind the scenes footage.

The Hunt took users on an adventure across Facebook in a search of the film’s pop culture references. We authored 8 clues in the form of riddles. Once deciphered, the clues led users to 8 separate film Facebook pages, awaiting them was a reward in the form of a mash-up video of RPO and a cult classic film, cut together, that paid off with a unique contest entry code.
